It’s true that you can make your own photographic luck by doing research and being prepared. It’s also true that sometimes serendipity comes into play. I hadn’t expressly prepared for either of these images. I had no inkling that the skies were about to turn so very interesting, but I just happened to be there when they did, and had a camera. In the first image, I don’t even remember why we had gone to the beaches area of Toronto that day in mid March. I do remember that it was chilly, and getting late, and I had brought only one prime lens with me. The second image was taken in the fall in rural Prince Edward County in eastern Ontario. We were on our way back to an area B&B at the end of the day, and we stopped for one last picture.
